All other portable, non electric devices achieve flow rates between 8-15% of accuracy, where as the Mobi-Drip is currently been demonstrated to achieve an accuracy of approximately 3%, comparable with electronic pumps... The extreme accuracy of the Mobi-Drip is achieved through the development of a unique patented gas regulation system which applies and constantly maintains a set pressure to the total surface of the fluid bag through out the infusion.

The Mobi-Drip disposable infusion line will use a standard IV Spike and therefore standard hospital technique to penetrate the IV fluid bag. As well as the flow Restrictor, there will be the addition of a 0.2u hydrophobic filter toward the distal end as an added safe guard against entrained air.

Because of the simplicity of the Mobi-Drip design, it will be possible to sell the device (housing) for less than other portable devices and the disposable line for probably half the cost of the current fully disposable (elastomeric) devices. In addition the use of standard IV bags will reduce the cost of adding the required drug.
